Carbide 3D Firmware Updater V1.1

This page will help you update the firmware in your Shapeoko 5 Pro. This is a very simple process, but it is important to follow the instructions carefully. If you have any questions, please visit our forum thread here.

Prerequisites

In order to run this, you will need:

• An up-to-date version of Chrome, at least version 61 or newer. The firmware updater will only work on Chrome.
• Shapeoko 5 Pro
• (Windows only) Install the DFU driver

Instructions

1. Connect Shapeoko 5 Pro.
2. Press and hold BOOTLOADER button.
3. Press and release RESET button.
4. Release BOOTLOADER button.
5. Click the "Connect" button below.
6. Chrome will popup a window asking permission to connect to devices. Select "ESP32-S2".
7. Click Connect.
8. If Detatch DFU button is active, click it and repeat from step 5 above.
9. Click the "Download" button below.
10. When transfer is complete, disconnect Shapeoko and power off for one minute.
11. Power on Shapeoko 5 Pro, and use normally.
