5-Step Plan for CNC Mastery

Step 1: Assemble your machine

Step one has got to be putting that brand-new machine together. Click the link below for your machine to get started.

Step 2: Setup and test cuts

Before you jump in, and start cutting that chunk of 100-year-old walnut that your grandfather gave you, it's important to make sure that your machine is assembled, configured and operating properly. These quick test jobs will get you familiar with the machine and give you the confidence to start your first project.

If you ever have problems in the future, the first thing you should do is come back to these tests to troubleshoot your machine.

Step 3: Learn the basics of CNC

CNC is a big topic, and it's easy to get overwhelmed. We've created a series of videos that will walk you through the basics of CNC. This short video series will give you the foundation of knowledge about CNC that you need to be successful.

Step 4: Premade Projects

We've got five pre-made projects representing some common projects that our users take on. When you're done with these projects, you'll have a great foundation of knowledge to start creating your own projects.

Step 5: Create your own projects

By the time you get here, you'll be familiar with the machine, and the basics of Carbide Create, our design software for CNC machines. Watch our deep dives into Carbide Create to give you all of the knowledge you need to modify our projects or create your own from scratch.
